I’m Mya.
In 2021, I went on a one month trip to visit my newly-retired parents in Latin America.
As a surprise to no one, that one month trip turned into three months… Then on that third month, I decided I simply just did not want to return to the USA… So, I didn’t!
In that moment, I switched my mindset into a digital nomad— I put my things into storage, sold my car, and set out on an unknown journey with an unknown end date.
Fast-forward to 2026, I’ve visited over 20 countries solo, experienced a million new things and have built the life that I have always dreamed of!
Oh and did I mention, I travel with my beautiful best friend, my dog Georgie!
In my travels, I have adopted new skills and hobbies.
My camera has become just as essential as my passport. Photography is how I capture the raw, in-between moments — music artists and events, underwater life, real-estate and travel experience have been fun to experience through a lens.
